Wrenches and Kings

Wrenches and Kings is a single player RPG, with turn based combat. A game design I am currently working on, and game I am currently prototyping.

You are the Champion of Nothing, disgraced for trying to walk the Champion's Path, and seek forgiveness and redemption. Fight your way through enemies and bosses while leveling up, exploring and finding equipment and weapons.

Every action is valuable. Your health, magic and stamina are all the same resource, Energy. Energy is consumed when attacking, running, casting spells; managing it is vital. While Energy is consumed by taking actions, it is restored by dealing damage to enemies.

​

Fights are turn based, with a turn being defined as the individual action of any unit it combat. A unit takes an action by either attacking, using an item or changing equipment, which gives them a cooldown. Between turns all cooldowns are decreased until at least one cooldown reaches zero, that unit takes the next action.
